At present, the issue of political instability has become a matter of grave concern for Pakistan. The recent ouster of the prime minister in April 2022 through a vote of no-confidence has led the country toward instability and chaos.

Pakistan has been facing political crisis from its birth (1947) till now. From 1947 to 2010, In this long period many government changed but unfortunality they all could not Maintain the political environment stable, after ruling 1, 2 or three year that governments politically instable.

In sum, article endeavors to explore the possible causes and effects of political instability in Pakistan. The instability of government, inefficiency of political parties, and a weak political culture create the scenario for a politically instable state.

This dissertation contains four quantitative studies on the measurement , causes and consequences of political instability. The research questions that are addressed are: how should political instability be measured? Does political instability hamper economic growth?

We began this book in order to address a puzzle in political economy: why is it that political instability does not necessarily translate into slow rates of economic growth? In order to find a solution to this puzzle we proceeded in three ways.

Politics must be kept stable if society remains united and the government retains its legitimacy. It is necessary for a country's economy to thrive, society to come together, and rule of law to be upheld. The political system's stability has a direct impact on the nation and state-building processes.
