4th grade students are curious and full of wonderment. It's best if you put their energies to work reading appropriate leveled texts and practicing reading skills. And what better way to do that than with the activities on this page? This page has all of my reading worksheets written at the 4th grade level. I used this open source tool to determine the readability scores of my worksheets, but you should read and approve each of them yourself for quality and appropriateness before giving them to children. I encourage you to allow worksheets written for the next two grade levels as well. Reading scores vary wildly based on which algorithm one uses. The readability scores on this page are an average of those score. Still, it's sensible to open up the gates a bit to allow for a richer variety of appropriately leveled content. I’m so thankful to have found this site and these resources. My 10 year old son is in danger of being retained in fourth grade because he has not passed his 4th grade reading benchmarks. He’s a bright boy and being held back would be devastating for him and not in his best interest. I am frantically trying to find resources to help him and I am excited to work with him using your worksheets. Thank you so much for sharing these.

You are so welcome. You sound like you are doing a great job supplementing. I wish you and your son the greatest possible success.
