All these remind me of my favourite colour. Red is the colour of the lava when a volcano erupts. It is the colour that is used to show if something is spicy or when something is hot.

Spotting any red clothes makes some bulls behave in a crazy manner. Red is a primary colour that can be mixed with other colours and used to create other colours. Some think that the people who really like the colour red are leaders, loving, get angry fast,  can be shy and they are very strong.

The colour red is used to celebrate in a number of festivals as well. We start our year off with valentine’s day, it is a festival of love and friendship. On Valentine’s day, you can see red-coloured gifts and decorations everywhere.

From red roses to red hearts and red teddy bears to red cards, you have it all. And at the end of our year, we celebrate with Christmas. From Santa Clause’s red and white clothes and the red berries, we find on the mistletoe plant used to decorate to Rudolph the red-nosed reindeer, red can be seen everywhere.

In Spain, the towns are painted red every year during the festival of tomatoes, were ripe and unripe tomatoes are smashed and thrown from person to person to celebrate another year of harvest.

Red as a colour has been used a lot around the world in different cultures and kingdoms by the royal families. Red also shows a feeling of pride. While in general red means loss or the colour of blood, in earlier days it was used for special titles and made from natural resources.

In ancient Egypt and ancient Mexico, people used red paint to decorate themselves before any celebration. In ancient Europe, the Greeks and the Romans celebrated after winning wars by painting the bodies of their army generals red to show that they are brave and courageous.

Coming east, Earlier in China, red was the only colour allowed to be used to colour works of pottery and to paint and decorate the royal palaces and special gates in and around China.

During earlier years in France, red was the colour most used to colours the clothes of the rich and royal families. Hence, the colour red could not be used by other people and other families.

After that, around the year 1900,  red colour was made out of chemicals, after which the colour red stopped being made out of natural substances. Red as colour shows courage, danger, and sacrifice due to its relation to blood. The colour red is used to show feelings such as Anger, madness, rage, love, confusion, and joy.

Meanwhile, In Asia, countries like India, China, and others, say that red means good fortune and luck and are used in their festivals such as lunar new year and Durga puja with the colour red.

Though I have changed a lot growing up, red remains my favourite colour even after all this time. Growing up, I would see red for bad characters as most of my cartoons and comics showed the villains and demons being red in colour. But I do not think the same thing so my love for the colour stays. Among so many colours, no other colour is as useful and strong as red.

 It also means that a person who likes red can be a proud person and they can be rude also.  Though some people think it is not a nice colour, it describes me as a person perfectly.

Having grown up with red cars and red watches to now owning red shoes and red caps. Though every other part of my life may change, I will love réd forever. As a child, I always dreamed about using a red pen that is used by teachers.

Some people say it is a bad colour, some say it is a good colour. But for me, it is my all-time favourite colour.

Introduction

Color is a mark that gives the expression of anything that is seen by our physical eyes. In the ancient times, color was used to pass a message to the public since this was the only way people could express their identity due to lack of some factors like education. Color means a lot many people. Some colors are used to pass across messages to the public hence making it one of the most important marks in life.

According to me, color plays a great role in displaying my personality. Wearing a fabric that has my favorite color makes me feel complete. Anytime I fail to display my favorite color, I always feel incomplete. Color in general is the outlook of something that conveys a message to the viewers. A particular color can be used to carry across a certain message or have a specific meaning. An example is the red color, which for a long time has been used to symbolize different occurrences in life.

One particular thing that the red color red is associated with is demonstrating emotions. It is for this reason that you find red color used in places like restaurants as it is perceived to motivate and add appetite to people. Red color is also associated with showing affection. People associate red color with love hence the reason why many roses are red. It is also associated with war and therefore you find red color used to simplify the blood shed during times of war. Since human blood is in this color, we can confidently say that red depicts procreation.

In many cultures, red color is really recognized by some people as they believe that red is power. For this reason, they grant their celebrities and VIPs anything red as a symbol of honor. This color also stands for hazard and emergency and therefore you find it used by drivers for stop lights. These red lights bring about awareness and observant to the drivers incase of any danger.

In other cultures, red is used to stand for joy, donate transparency, and merriment. Red color brings about joy and prosperity in various countries like China. The Chinese people therefore put the color in some places to depict good luck. Red is frequently the color for the brides in the East as well as a color for mourners in South Africa.

A red flag was also used by the Russia when overthrowing the Tsar. Because of this, red became associated with socialism. Many countries use color red in their flags as it signifies the blood of the people. According to Christianity, red stands for the blood that was shed by Jesus on the cross in order to receive the peace and salvation they enjoy today.

Colors have great significance in the lives of many people. A particular color can be associated with certain things in different parts of the world. One color that has been outstanding is the color red. From love to royalty, the color red is significant to almost each one of us. Although this color has different meanings to different people, one thing that stands out is that the color is used to depict good things in life. Due to this, it has become one of the most popular colors in history.

                My favorite color is pink. There are a lot of special colors, but the color pink is the color for my personality. The first uniform I got was pink. Before they used to be only white. White is beautiful and clean, but I think pink better expresses the peace and contentment of me. In conclusion, people who wear pink are supposed to be warm and understanding. The message that you would like to share is your peace and happiness with others. That’s why pink is my color.

            I like green a lot. We can see trees grass and plants all around us. These are in green. I think green is a part of our world. We cannot live without the greenery around us. My Favorite Color – Yellow

            Yellow is one of my favorite colors. I like yellow because it always brings me energy and happiness. For example, I often wear yellow when I do exercises because I feel more energetic and excited. Yellow  helps me clear my mind. Every time I feel tired or sleepy in class, yellow helps me wake up. When I see a yellow book or a yellow pen, I tend to wake up right away. This is why yellow is a great color for me.

            My favorite color is white, because it has many meanings to me. First, white makes me feel like everything around me is clean. Therefore I feel that all things look like new, even if they’re not. Second, I chose white because I like lightness and slowness. I don’t want to live fast.             My favorite color is red. I think the color red is the most important color. The red color gifts is the feeling of warmth and safety and makes people concentrate. For example, the fire truck is red and the light is red when it is flashing. It makes you concentrate and it protects you. Furthermore, red is a lucky  color in China. There are many things that are read; like the flag and the money. When Chinese New Year’s comes, a lot of children receive red envelopes from their parents. So everyone is happy when they see the red color. These are the reasons why I like red.

I like red because I think it’s the most powerful one of all the colors. When you see something in red, you will easily feel the strength and the enthusiasm it has. Red is the color of blood, so it seems to have life. Red also means dangerous. It tells you: don’t touch me! I’m a dangerous guy. This makes red just like the king of all the colors. Red is wild, hot, changeable, moody and so strong. That’s why I love red so much.

            My favorite color is blue. I have liked that color since I was eight years old. When I started fishing in my country, I always went to the river. While I was fishing I looked up to the sky and I discovered how beautiful the blue color was. Since then, I have liked that color. It also makes me feel happy every time I look at the sky at night, with all the beautiful stars. Blue means a lot to me, because it reminds me of the world. We are surrounded by the blue color: the water that is underground in the sky that is on top. That’s why I’ll never change my favorite color for another.

            Blue is my favorite color. Although experts say that blue is a kind of cold color, to me it belongs to warm colors. When I look at blue, I feel peace like what this guy brings to you or cool like the ocean. Even when I feel fresh air, it makes me comfortable. When I use something in blue, it always makes me happy. You can see I often use blue pencils. I have a blue pencil bag and I have many blue clothes. I think the more reason for why I like blue is because blue makes me look younger and better. I hope to share the peace, coolness and freshness of blue with others. That’s why I like blue so much.

There are a few reasons why I love blue. First of all, when it comes to blue, it reminds me of the sky and ocean - which gives me a feeling of freedom. I'm really jealous of the birds and the fish, because I can't fly like a bird and actually I don't know how to swim in the water. I wish I could fly or swim like the birds or the fish, to enjoy the wind and the water. Since the sky and ocean are so broad, they can do whatever they want. It’s so free. In addition, I deem the blue lets me calm down. Blue is the kind of cold color. When I’m losing control of my emotions, such as being angry or feeling nervous, I can see something in blue and unable to calm down and keep my thoughts more clear. What’s more, I think it depends on my own personality. I got information in the book that told me those who like blue, need lots of attention from the people around them and they are very emotional. In brief, I love blue because it makes me feel free, and it relates to my character.

            My favorite color is brown. I knew it since I was a child. Every time I felt tired, I always colored in my coloring book and shows the color brown. Even as I got older, I still like brown. I like to wear brown shorts. It feels so comfortable. I know that brown goes with my personality, because it makes me feel free and it always makes me feel happy.

Why Do I Like Blue & White?

            Blue and white has always been present in my life, but I really don’t know why. I like the sky. It has blue and white in it. I also like the ocean, because it’s the mirror of the sky. It seems blue even if it does not have any color. I adore white. I got more white shirts than any other colors in my closet. I don't even own a blue shirt. I like to wear white and I’d like to watch the color blue in the sky. In conclusion, I guess I like these colors because… I still don’t know why! I guess I would know it if I knew what blue and white meant. So all I can say is that I like blue and white.

            My favorite color is pink. As for me, pink is the most romantic color. Whenever I see the color pink, I feel comfortable and happy. Every time when I shop around, I am looking for something pink. Pink also lets me feel warm. It really represents my personality. I am the person who asked patients tolerance and love. I am also an easy-going person. Therefore, pink represents me. Color genic experts say that pink expresses the peace and contentment of the wear. I like to share my peace and happiness with others. I want to make everybody feel happy. Just like the color pink makes me feel happy. That’s the reason why I like pink.

Special Blue

       Blue is my favorite color. Because I like watching the blue sky. It makes me feel pleasure. I like swimming in the sea, it makes me comfortable on hot days. I like wearing blue jeans, it is a good match with any T-shirt. Blue is around me every day in my world; it is the only color I like. The color blue makes me cool down. This is why blue is so special to me.

Which color of apple is ‘better’ for you this fall and why.

With fall a little more than a month away, apple picking season is almost here as well. 

But exactly how healthy are apples? And is one kind or color of apple more nutritious than another?

Two dietitians helped get to the bottom of these food questions while also addressing whether an apple a day really does keep the doctor away.

“In terms of color, apples can range from green (like granny smith) to yellow (like golden delicious), to red (like empire and gala), and often a mix of colors (like honeycrisp),” Kelley Springer of the New York Apple Association told Fox News Digital via email. 

Springer is a registered dietitian and certified dietitian nutritionist. 

Apples come in many varieties and colors, but “when it comes to nutrition, the difference between apple varieties is generally minimal,” she said.

“However, apples with darker red or purple skins, such as the red delicious apple, often have higher levels of antioxidants compared to those with lighter-colored skins,” Springer said.

Although nutritional content can “vary slightly” depending on the type of apple and the environment in which it’s grown, Springer said that “overall, apples are a great source of dietary fiber, vitamins and antioxidants.” 

There’s actually some truth behind the saying “an apple a day keeps the doctor away,” Diane Lindsay-Adler of Boston Children’s Health Physicians told Fox News Digital by email. 

“Apples can help protect against serious diseases, including heart disease, diabetes, cancer and more,” said Lindsay-Adler, a registered dietitian nutritionist.

Red apples, she said, are that color because they contain something called anthocyanins, which are “powerful antioxidants.” 

They “help reduce inflammation in the body,” she said. 

Green apples get their color from chlorophyll, another antioxidant, she said. 

Chlorophyll “is being studied and may have protective effects against cancerous tumors.” 

And finally, yellow apples have carotenoids, Lindsay-Adler said. 

These “decrease the risk of certain cancers and eye disease.” 

While there’s not much of a dramatic difference in apples as related to their color, different varieties of apples can address different nutritional needs.

Green apples are “lower in sugar and high in fiber,” Lindsay-Adler said, meaning they’re “a good choice for those monitoring their sugar intake.”

Meanwhile, honeycrisp apples are “known for their high water content” and overall balanced nutrient profile, she said. 

They are a “hydrating and nutritious option,” Lindsay-Adler added. 

But regardless of the type of apple one chooses to eat, there are “a plethora of specific health benefits,” Springer said. 

“Apples’ flavonoids and antioxidants are helpful for maintaining healthy blood sugar,” she said. 

A study found that “women who ate one or more apples a day had a 28% lower risk of type 2 diabetes compared with those who ate none,” she said.

Apples are also excellent for gut and heart health, Springer said.

“The pectin in apples is a prebiotic, providing food for friendly gut bacteria,” she said.

“Pectin can contribute to gut bacteria to use for growth, which is good food for your microbiota.” 

The nutritional content of apples also helps keep blood pressure at healthy levels, Springer said. 

Plus, “potassium helps relax blood vessels, which can reduce the risk of cardiovascular complications associated with high blood pressure.”
