Fun Music Company Founders Kevin and Janice Tuck

That feeling of being able to teach music anywhere, anytime is what encouraged Janice and Kevin Tuck to found the Fun Music Company back in 2006. With Kevin being a highly sought after musician and music teacher and Janice having taught music in schools both in Australia and overseas, they both struggled with getting access to quality online music teaching resources which meet the needs of any curriculum. In an effort to reduce their own out of hours preparation when teaching in schools, they set up a private music school where within 3 years, they were able to serve 300 families per week over a three year period using specially crafted music lessons. After their music school transformation, Kevin and Janice’s focus has been to empower fellow music teachers with fun online music lessons which meet the needs of any curricula. Janice and her husband Kevin reside in Adelaide, South Australia with their daughter Danielle.

"How can I inspire a love of music if I'm this exhausted?"

Does this sound like you?

You’ve always dreamed of providing life-changing music lessons to your students, but you’re afraid to admit that somehow, somewhere along the way, you lost a little spark. These days, you’re feeling more like a hamster in a wheel. It’s hard to teach innovative & inspiring music classes while you’re on the never-ending treadmill of recruitment, retention, and comparison.

You LOVE music, but teaching kids is just…tough sometimes.

I Can Help!

As someone who has dealt with a mountain of burnout, who has taught hundreds of incredible (and incredibly difficult) kids to adore music all while secretly wondering if I’m doing enough…

I’ve Been There

My passion is to equip music teachers like you with engaging resources and lessons that help you reclaim your free time & restore your love for teaching music again… all while helping your students have FUN!

Hi, I'm Katrina!

I know the overwhelm of running a music program. I totally get it because I’ve been in your shoes.

I’m a former public school music teacher who spent 10 years in the classroom building 2 entire thriving music programs from the ground-up.

I primarily taught middle school choir, but I also taught piano class, music exploration, music technology, band, and orchestra.

It wasn’t until after I got my Masters Degree that I realized:

I was tired of watching music teachers enter the profession, give it their everything in all the wrong ways, and burn out.

I could help them do better!

I loved teaching music, but I started developing a nagging desire to help music teachers by creating BETTER music resources.

After being diagnosed with Cancer in 2021, I was forced to leave teaching, but deep inside, it felt like fate. It felt like my big purpose and God’s timing finally became clear– my destiny is this place, with YOU!

So, consider me your music-teacher side-kick/BFF– ready to help you dream big so you can change little lives.

I’m so beyond glad you’re here.
