Hello! My name is Christian, I am 20 years old and currently in college. Today, I will tell you how do I see myself 10 years from now.

By that time, I will be 30 years old and I know at that time I am currently working on my career. Like any average child I’ve always dreamt about the future, and have really big dreams. Back then I always thought that “in the future I would become rich and successful and happy”. I wanted to have a huge house, an expensive car, and pretty much a comfortable life. I wanted to live a happy life free of worries. Well, obviously at the time I was still only a child, at the time I still don’t have a vast understanding of the real world or whatever is going on around me, still even though it is just a child’s dream I would be glad if it happens in the future, now that’s something to look forward to. I know that people at my age have dreams and aspirations in life, for me my dream is to become successful at my career in the future and my ambition is to be a civil engineer. I know that as I journey towards the future, I will encounter many ups and downs and have my fair share of success and failures. But in order to reach my dreams and aspirations I will face it all, no matter the outcomes. I will never lose courage and let any failures deviates me from my goal in life, because I know that if I believe in myself and work hard, I will eventually get there. No matter what challenges and obstacles gets thrown at me I will continue pursuing my dreams.

So, as I can see myself 10 years from now, I am still continuing to work hard and doing my best, the difference is that now I am doing it at work, I am still the humble and kind person as I was before. I’m still the brave person who faces the challenges brought upon me as I trudge forward. Now, I am more mature and goal-oriented, currently I am fighting stress, brought by work, and negativities. But nevertheless, I remain strong.

Second, I see myself having a stable job, working as a civil engineer, and doing good in life. I can see that I am enjoying my work, having lots of fun times with my co-engineers and co-workers.

I can also see that I am working my best, although I know that I am experiencing a lot of stress and pressures, considering my line of work, I can see that there is happiness at the end of it. I know in myself that I am happy and grateful that I got to be what I want to be, and for me that’s already a success beyond belief.

Third, I can see myself attaining the dreams of when I was a child. I can see myself owning the house of my dream and also a car. I can see myself buying the things I wanted using my hard-earned money, And I can see myself being proud of these achievements which seems like impossible at the time.

Fourth, I can see myself achieving the promises I’ve made with myself and to my family. I can see to myself, spoiling my family to their happiness. I can see my parents just relaxing doing the things they like without worrying anymore; my mother who still likes gardening planting a variety of flowers, and my father relaxing on a sofa while watching a movie on a big screen. I can see myself, planning to build a house for my parents as a wish they had a long time ago. And, I can see that we are leaving as a happy family and retained the love that we always had.

Finally, the fifth thing I see to myself happening after 10 years is that I am married, and having my own family. I can see that I am happy with the one I loved and will continue as we face together the new tomorrows with one another.

So, that’s all I can see myself 10 years from now. I know it is still just a faraway dream, we can never truly predict what will happen to us in the future. Those things might happen or it might not, but as the saying goes “if you want something you sacrifice for it” I’ll make sure to achieve those dreams, all I need is courage, perseverance, patience, and confidence to do so. I will word hard and study hard to get to it, and the most important thing to remember is to focus on my dreams in life.

Like many others I also have a goal which I need to achieve no matter how hard the situations are. Actually the goals which are close to my heart are unrealistic according to my well wishers, so I need to have a backup plan like goals. You know, unrealistic plans or dreams (according to society) are also equally important because they make you grow into a better person. They might not help you financially but after all they are our dream goals. So like all my friends I also have a realistic plan which can be achieved through hard work and dedication and will also help me to enjoy all the worldly materialistic pleasures.

My goal is to create awareness about vegetarian diet, healthy lifestyle and sustainable living. I am a vegetarian and I want to create awareness among people about the benefits of it. Nowadays staying vegetarian is not so easy as there are distractions which pull you towards them like peer pressure. I am not saying that being non vegetarian is bad but according to me vegetarian diets are natural foods which ultimately helps us to achieve our goal of staying healthy. I also am a supporter of zero wastage and minimum consumption that is also a way of caring for our mother. I also want to involve myself in doing something for our environment. I will try to attach myself with some institutions working for the welfare of animals and protection of the environment.

In my personal life I want to upgrade myself in a way that I have no grudges or competition with others. I want to concentrate on making myself a strong willed and calm person who is not affected by the actions of others. I know I have some leadership qualities also, so will also groom myself in a way that my good qualities are enhanced. I want to become a role model for my juniors, siblings and co- workers. I want to be successful in life because my parents are proud of me and I can give them a comfortable and happy life. But starting working doesn’t mean that I will forget myself but I will devote some time to the unfulfilled secret goals that I wanted to achieve.

After 10 years I see myself with some good qualifications (degree), working in a reputed institution, spending time with family and doing something for my society and mother nature. Over the next few years I will try to fulfill all my plans with all my strength. I will not leave any opportunity which proves to be a hallway to the completion of my goals. I will try my best to be a valuable and irreplaceable asset for the institution I work for. As any other youngster I also want to change happiness and success for myself as well as for my parents and siblings.

In order to achieve the same, we must eat a healthy vegetarian lifestyle as it has a lot of benefits and shall also avoid plastics to save our mother Earth from land & water pollution.
