There are many people all around the world who are very famous and celebrities. But my favorite personality is my father. My father is my hero and an awesome father. He is kind, polite and really friendly to everyone. He is a very intelligent man and always helps others in their problems. He is a good adviser in my family, every family member takes advice from him whenever they get a problem. He is a simple man with kind rules. He never refuses anybody if someone comes to the door asking for help. He has a loving and soft-hearted. I haven’t seen a man like him. Father’s a blessing which not many people have in their lives. It would also be wrong to say that every father is the ideal hero for their kids because that is not the case. However, I can vouch for my father without any second thoughts when it comes to being an ideal person.

My Father is Different!

As everyone likes to believe that their father is different, so do I. Nonetheless, this conviction is not merely based on the love I have for him, but also because of his personality. My father owns a business and is quite disciplined in all aspects of life. He is the one who taught me to always practice discipline no matter what work I do.

Most importantly, he has a jovial nature and always makes my mother laugh with his silly antics even after 27 years of marriage. I completely adore this silly side of him when he is with his loved ones. He tries his best to fulfill all our wishes but also maintains the strictness when the need arises.

A personality is someone who is famous. It doesn’t matter how famous the person is but he or she should have a certain level of renown. So if you’re asked to write about a personality, you can’t write about your family members, friends or teachers (unless they’re someone famous of course!).

In the question, you should also take note of any prompts that you are required to respond to in your essay on your favourite personality. For example, if you need to share where they’re from or why you like them.

Step 2: Decide who you want to want to write about

Besides celebrities in the entertainment industry, you can also choose to write about star athletes, world leaders, successful business leaders, scientists and the list goes on. And in case you’re wondering, yes, famous social media influencers like Charli D’Amelio and Khabane Lame also count as personalities.

Bonus Tip: Use interesting adjectives to describe the person. For example, instead of using ‘kind’, you can also use synonyms such as ‘thoughtful’ and ‘considerate’. Instead of saying someone is good at something, you can use words such as ‘talented’, ‘skilled’, ‘expert’ and ‘knowledgeable’. Synonyms are also a great way to avoid repeating the same word in your essay!

Step 4: Write your essay introduction

At the beginning of your essay, make sure you introduce the person no matter how well-known they are. You should always assume that the teacher or examiner knows nothing about the personality that you’re writing about.

To spice it up a little, you can also paraphrase the essay question in your introduction. So instead of starting the essay with ‘My favourite personality is…’ you can begin with

[ Name ] is someone I look up to a lot.

Step 5: Use PEEC to elaborate your body paragraphs
