Good to Know

Below are some guidelines for learning fluent English.

1. Many of us are afraid to write English because we don’t write English regularly. The first and most effective way to overcome this weakness is to write every day. Routinely write something in at least 300 words every day. Write about anything in the morning or at night.

2. Pay attention to grammar when writing in English. Try to master two to three rules of English grammar every day. Read grammar with examples, do not memorize. A good English grammar book can be used as a reference.

3. Practice reading English magazines as well as textbooks. As the habit of reading magazines will enhance your intellectual skills, you will find many new things to write about. At first, you may not understand the meaning of many words, it will take time to understand.

4. Practice reading your favorite articles in reputable English magazines or journals, including Time Magazine, Reader’s Digest, and The Economist. Apply the style of writing in magazines to your own writing. If you practice this for four weeks in a row, you will notice the changes in your writing.

5. You can request someone who knows English well to read what you are writing every day. Correct what are the weaknesses and mistakes with the opinion from him.

6. We use very common words when writing. For fluent writing in English, concentrate on using multidimensional words. Even very short and concise texts can be made interesting by using a variety of words without repeating the same sentence or sentence of the same structure. Try to assimilate five to eight new words every day.

7. Practice writing by following the author you like. Try to understand the thoughts of that author. Make a map of what you want to write before you write anything.

So far today. We hope you find the tips useful. Thanks for visiting AdmissionWar.com.

HSC English 2nd Week Assignment Answer

Choosing a Short Story: I read an interesting Short Story written by William Somerset Maugham named “ The Luncheon ”.

Summary of the Story

The story is about a lady admirer of the speakers. The Speaker is a young writer who received a letter from a lady who highly praised his writing. The speaker also replied thanking her. One day the speaker met the lady in a five star hotel. He was not too rich but he was flattered. He had 80 francs. He thought that he could manage the lunch easily. He requested the lady to Choose the food item from the menu book. She assured that she doesn’t eat much food. So the speaker ordered Salmon fish that was expensive . Later the Speaker asked if she liked anything. The lady replied that she liked carviare though it was horribly expensive. Then she enjoyed champagne, asparagus, coffee and finally the salmon. The speaker was sweating. He was too anxious if he could pay the bill or not. He didn’t take anything except a mutton chop. Finally he manages the lunch paying the total amount of the whole month.

What I liked And Did Not Like

I like the way the speaker narrates the story. He uses metaphors in the story. As first person narrator the Speaker easily depicts the inner feeling of the Character. The speaker also shows humor narrating the story. For example at the end of the story he mentions “today she weights twenty-one Stone”:

There are a number of climaxes in the story. I do not like that flat line of the climax graph. It is not too high. It could be more interesting.

My Changes In The Story

If someone asked me to change the story then I would decrease the number of climaxes. I would decrease the flat line of the climax graph in high. Finally I could make the story more interesting to the reader.

Concluding Statement

Although the story has some demerits, I enjoyed the story very much. It was an outstanding story that I read in my life.

HSC English Question Paper March 2022

HSC English Question Paper March 2022

With Answers

SECTION – 1: PROSE

(Reading for Comprehension, Language Study, Summary and Mind Mapping)

Q. 1. (A) Read the extract and complete the activities given below: (12 Marks)

At a corner of Sixth Avenue electric lights and cunningly displayed wares behind plate-glass made a shop window attractive. Soapy took a stone and dashed it through the glass. People came running, around the corner, a policeman in the lead. Soapy stood still with his hands in his pockets, and smiled at the sight of brass button.

“Where’s the man that done that?” inquired the officer agitatedly.

“Don’t you think that I might have had something to do with it?” said Soapy, with a friendly voice, as one greets good fortune.

The policeman refused to accept Soapy even as a clue. Men who smash windows do not remain to chat with the police. They take to their heels. The policeman saw a man half-way down the block running to catch a car. With drawn club he joined in the pursuit. Soapy, with disgust in his heart, drifted along, twice unsuccessful.

On the opposite side of the street was a restaurant of no great pretensions. It catered to large appetites and modest purses. Its crockery and atmosphere were thick; its soup and napery thin. Into this place Soapy betook himself without challenge. At a table he sat and consumed beefsteak, flapjacks, doughnuts and pie. And then he told the waiter the fact that the minutest coin and himself were total strangers.

“Now, get busy and call a cop,” said Soapy. ‘And don’t keep a gentleman waiting.”

“No cop for you,” said the waiter, with a voice like butter cakes and an eye like the cherry in the Manhattan cocktail. “Hey, Con!”

Neatly upon his left ear on the callous pavement two waiters pitched Soapy. He arose, joint by joint, as a carpenter’s rule opens, and dusted his clothes. Arrest seemed now but an elusive dream. The island seemed very far away. A policeman who stood before a drugstore two doors away laughed and walked down the street.

I don’t believe in taking the right decisions. I take decisions, I take decisions and then make them right.” One of them make them right. One of the Ratan Tata’s inspiring words which made me dream beyond shadows. I feel fortunate that I discovered him in the early stage of my life and now I am using his teachings to mould my future the way I want.

Even though Ratan Tata was born in a very posh family of India, he never took money and power for granted. He graduated from Riverdale country from New York, Ratan Tata began his career in the Tata Group working on the shop floor of Tata Steel. After working for almost 10

years he was appointed as the director-in-charge of the National Radio and Electronics Company Limited (NEL.CO) in order to help its struggling finances. He worked hard building a better consumer electronics division but the economic recession and union strikes prevented him from achieving success and this success helped Tata to be appointed as the chairman of the Tata Group of companies. He started with a very basic job in his father’s company and today he owns a billion

dollar company.

The tag of greatness does not come without making any sacrifices and this tag on Ratan Tata suits to its best. Tata group launched its passenger car Tata Indica in the year 1998 but Tata Indica was a failure in its first year and the experiment seemed to be failing. Many people started advising Ratan Tata that he should sell the passenger car business. Ratan Tata also agreed to this and a proposal was given to Ford, they showed interest too. The three-hour meeting at Ford headquarters in Detroit, chairman of Ford (Bill Ford) said to Ratan Tata. “Why did you enter in the passenger car business when you were not knowing of it. It will be a favour if we buy this business from you.”

Ratan Tata decided to move back home. While travelling he was very tense as the feeling of being insulted was on his mind. After earlier failures. Tata Motors did well with its business of passenger cars but in the same period, Ford did very bad. In 2008 when Ford was on its way of bankruptcy. Tata Group offered Ford to buy its luxury car brand. Jaguar. Land Rover. SECTION II – POETRY

(Poems and Appreciation)

Q. 3 (A) Read the given extract and complete the activity given below: 10 Marks

A foot and light-hearted I take to the open road,

Healthy, free, the world before me,

The long brown path before me leading wherever I choose.

Henceforth I ask not good fortune,

I myself am good fortune,

Henceforth I whimper no more, postpone no more, need nothing,

Done with indoor complaints, libraries, querulous criticisms,

Strong and content I travel the open road.

The earth., that is sufficient,

I do not want the constellations any nearer,

I know they are very well where they are.

I know they suffice for those who belong to them.

Still here I carry my old delicious burdens,

I carry them, men and women, I carry them, with me wherever I go,

swear it is impossible for me to get rid of them in return.

A1. Complete the web diagram about the qualities needed on the journey of life: (2)

A2. Analyse the line:

I asked not good fortune, I myself am good fortune.

A3. Personal Response: (2)

Explain the importance of long path/ road in man’s life.

A4. Poetic Device:

Still here I carry old delicious burdens.

A5. Poetic creativity: (2)

Complete the given lines using your imagination.

There is no way I move leading back.

I move forward …..

ANSWERS: 9.3 (A)

The poet does not believe in any good fortune or luck nor does he believe that all things are determined in advance in such a way that we cannot change them. He believes in creating his own fortune. For him man himself is an architect of his life and thus believes in his good fortune.

A. 3 I, feel that in the journey of man’s life the meaning and importance of road varies from man to man. It depends on our deeds. If we do good deeds and are satisfied in what we have and won’t be greedy/selfish the journey of our life will be very smooth and had no hassles in it. Whereas if we are envious or have

bad intentions for others it will certainly make the path of man’s life with many ups and downs.

Paradox: as two totally contradictory ideas are put together here i.e., burden can never be delicious.

Transferred Epithet: as an adjective ‘delicious’ is transferred from food to ‘burden

Inversion: words are changed here for better poetic effect i.e. ‘Sill. I carry old delicious burden here.

‘There is no way leading back,

I move forward with determination on my track.

I haven’t any regret on my deed,

As I always lead on path of honesty indeed.

9. 3. (B) Appreciation: [4 Marks]

Read the given extract and write an appreciation of the poem using the following

Is anybody happier because you passed his way?

Does anyone remember that you spoke to him today?

This day is almost over, and its toiling time is through;

Is there anyone to utter now a kindly word of you?

Did you give a cheerful greeting to the friend who came along?

Or a churlish sort of “Howdy” and then vanish in the throng?

Were you selfish pure and simple as you rushed along the way,

Or is someone mighty grateful for a deed you did today?

Can you say tonight, in imparting with the days that’s slipping

fast,

That you helped a single brother of the many that you passed?

Is a single heart rejoicing over what you did or said;

Does a man whose hopes were fading now with courage look

ahead?

(i) Title of the poem, name of the poet.

(ii) Poetic devices. language

(iv) Values

(v) Your opinion about the poem.

ANSWERS: 9. 3 (B)

Edgar Guest was born in England in 188l and brought up in United States of America. he died in the year 1959. only at the 14 he began his writing career. he is very popular as People’s poet’ because of his simple style and optimistic tone of writing. he was also an American writer of newspaper and magazine. It is an inspirational poem making us understand as you sow so shall you reap. this poem will make us understand the importance of good work in our life and how it will enrich us. we have to analyse ourselves and ask a question to our self whether i have done anything to improve the life of another human being, we do need to understand that we are the architect of our own life. we need to consider our deeds and actions properly and plan it in the best way if we would like to have a better and bright. happy future. The poem is divided in to four stanzas. guest has used quatrains (stanza of four lines) to a consistent rhyme scheme.

The poet has begun the poem with a direct question to all readers whether you (reader) has made or brought happiness in anybody’s life as he passed his day today. he further questions the reader is anybody is remembering you for kind good words you spoke to him/her. the has come to an end, it is evening time is there is anyone who is speaking good and kind words about you.

Second stanza begins with another question to the reader whether you have given a happy smiling welcome(greeting) to your friend who came along with you or you were selfish, unfriendly. rude and with your friend and quickly disappeared in crowd. He says that is there is someone who is grateful for the good deed that you have done for him/her today. In the third stanza poet asks us again as the day is moving. coming to an end very fast and while parting with today at the end of the day in the night can you say that today you have helped at least one person among all|

those who you come across today.

If you will think about the poetic devices following figures of speech are seen in this poem.

This day is almost over, and its toiling time is through. (Sound T’ is repeated)

Were you selfish pure and simple as you rushed along the way? (Sound ‘S’ is repeated)

In a single heart rejoicing over what you did or said.

(heart stands for person, part is used to show the whole)

First two lines of first, stanza, second stanza and fourth stanza and last line of the poem.

aabb, ccdd, eeff, gghh.

one important thing we learn from this poem is that good work always pays you

and so always do good. it reminds you about one saying ‘As you sow, so shall you reap.’. I liked the positive approach of the poet in this poem. I liked the second last line of the poem, ls a single heart rejoicing over what you did or said’.

We all know that from last one and half year the whole world is facing centuries biggest problem and medical threat called Covid 19. It has paralysed many countries and their economies. Currently the first thing we need to do is to maintain social distance and avoid crowded places. Compare to interior part of our country these things are to be strictly followed in urban areas of especially while travelling| in overcrowded local trains and buses in metropolitan cities. Along with this one more thing is must that is wearing a mask. We, while going outside our house must wear mask as it is our shield to protect us from the virus. The prime minister of our country as well as central and state health minister are appealing us for the same. Along with vaccination as an alert citizen isn’t it our responsibility to follow these rules and regulation? If we would like to prevent the spread of this disease, aren’t we going to put our hands together? Many parts of India, Maharashtra are closed and there is complete lockdown. Il is a big financial loss for us and it will paralyse the economy of the country. Hence for our safety and security we must come together and follow all| these rules and regulations of government. Let’s take a pledge that today onwards at all social places I will wear mask and will follow social distance.

(3) Expansion of Idea:

Expand the following idea by using the following points.

‘Time and tide wait for none’.

  • Meaning of the proverb
  • Importance of time
  • Proper time management
  • Add your own points

Time and tide wait for none”

The meaning of the proverb:

The above proverb means that once time lost is lost forever. Whenever we get an opportunity, we must make the best of it and if we can’t make use of it, it is lost forever. Both time and tide have its own course. Both does not wait for anyone. We must act immediately when proper time

for taking some action comes. Once we lost an opportunity, there is no meaning in regretting it. In| short, this proverb means that we need to do our duty in time.

Importance of time and time management:

If we students are wasting our time in colleges and school. We will miss golden opportunity of taking sound and effective education. We won’t realize the loss unless

we grow up. We all know the farmer dries the hay when the sun shines, if he does it in rain or in rainy season it will decay. Look at the blacksmith he strikes the iron when it is hot and then only, he can give the desired shape to it. Indirectly one need to have a proper management of time else we will not make any progress. Our growth will become stagnant like a water in a ditch.

Conclusion: in the conclusion: I can say that it is unwise to delay any action on our part. When we are presented with an opportunity, we must decide quickly and act promptly without wasting time. Later on, regretting about lost opportunity will do nothing to us.

  • Story/Theme
  • Producer/Director

  • Your opinion

“Mere Desh Ki Dharti”

Story/ Theme: ‘Mere Desh ki Dharti” is about the journey of two friends who find themselves. but also explores the issue of farmer’s debts, suicides and much more. Ajay and Sameer are engineers from the city with similar problems, Ajay aspires to have had own start-up but faces setback. Sameer slogs it off to get a promotion to ask for his rich girlfriend’s hand. But their dreams come crashing down and they are out of jobs. Disillusioned and dejected the two decide to die by suicide, though not in the chaos of the city but in a village, so that everyone thinks they have run away and won’t look for them. They arrive at Salamatpur in MP where the poor villagers are generous to fault and peculiar in equal measures- garishly dressed singers. an Elvis Presley lookalike at Mela. and senile Dadi with scratching tongue. Scratch the surface of the lively milieu, and there is the darkness of farmer suicides. The duo wants to right the wrongs but stirs up the hornet’s nest with the local bank manager who gets back at them by punishing the farmers and asking them to clear their debts within six months or surrender their lands. The upset folks want to throw the guys out but Ajay believes that they can get out of their misery if they work as a unit. The second half of the movie is| enjoyable till one gets the glimpse of the typical over-tlhe-top bumpkins.

Producer/ director & Characters: This movie is directed by Faraz Haider and is produced by Vaishali Sarwankar under the banner of Carnival Motion Pictures. The film portrays the harsh realities of farmers in the villages of India. The story of the movie is written by Neel Chakraborty. Divyendu Sharma as Ajay and Anant Vidhat as Ajay’s friend Samcer. Anupriya Goenka as Jhumki, Inaamulahaq as Pappan Khan.

Brijendra Kla as Dubeji. Rajesh Sharma as Kisahanlal. Avantika Khatri as Priyanka Khurana & Fraukh Jaffer as Daadi have played main roles in the movie.

Special features: The film’s strongest point is its actors- lead and supporting. While Divyendu shines in his performance as the in1pulsive and hot-headed happy camper. Anant Vidhat as pessimistic and serious Sameer holds his ground. It is Inaamulhaque (Pappan Khan) who deserves a special mention as the oddball benjoo

party guy and shayar who hold everything together. Bijendra Kla as the evil Dubey ji is great too.

Music/Dance /Songs & Photography: the music of the film is composed by Vikram Montrose and the title song is sung by Sukhwinder Singh. Other songs are sung by Supriya Pathak, Farhad Bhivandiwala and Ali Aslam Shah.

My opinion about the movie: This movie has got three stars. It is an average movie. It is worth watching one

Necessity of Social Awareness

|I as an individual feel that though we are living in 21st century still our behaviour in

many aspects are barbaric and inhuman towards many issues. In this modern world we need to create almost about all things like social awareness, about traffic rules, about environment about tree plantation and many more things are there which we can say need to be made people aware about. The thing is that we have to start this thing from school itself at early age because young children are having receptive mind and learn it quickly. School environment is the best thing for them to teach. Once it is taught their parents too can understand it through them and slowly, we can bring change in our society.

Social Awareness regarding Traffic Rules: today vehicular traffic on all roads have increased like anything and the country like India which has a huge population and wide range of roads need awareness about traffic rules. Youngsters who are riding two wheelers and four wheelers need to be made sensitive about it. No doubt while issuing licence to them their driving test and written exam is conducted still if we will see the number ot accidents on roads in India every day, we will understand the severity of it. Majority of the accidents are taking place due to drivers mistake like not wearing helmet, not following traffic signals, over speeding, pillion rider is not wearing helmet, drunk and drive. No doubt our government is doing its best but as the citizen of our country we need to be aware about these rules and me must follow these rules.

Social Awareness about Environment: this is one more thing we all have to bring social

awareness. Due to deforestation, urbanisation and industrialisation environmental degradation is maximum. For road construction, for constructing buildings, to develop cities, for paper for all we are cutting trees but nobody is bothered about planting trees. We all know we get oxygen from trees and they absorb carbon dioxide from the air and without oxygen we can’t survive hence for our survival we need trees. Trees prevent soil erosion, hold water, gives us shade, fruits and what not. Some organisations are doing their best to protect the nature and environment but we all need to join our hands together for to save this earth. Even the cycle of nature/seasons has got disturbed due to it.

Conclusion: these are the only few things we see but there are many other issues where we need social awareness like segregating dry and wet garbage, stop wastage of water, disposal of hazardous chemicals and bio-medical waste. In short along with government, NGO’S we as an individual have to come forward and start following all these things from our own house. If this will happen, we can expect in near future at least some changes in this world and it will be heaven for we all.

Writing a Speech; HSC 2022 7th Week English 1st Paper Assignment Solution

Good afternoon everyone! Thank you for inviting me here today. My name is MD Ashraful Khan and it is an honor to be here as a part of this election. Right now, we have an amazing opportunity to transform Dhaka into the gleaming and charming Dhaka city it is destined to be.

If I am elected mayor, I will seize the opportunity to address the challenges of Dhaka. I will revamp the education system. Fix the transportation system and renovate Bangabandhu National Stadium. I believe that, if we work together we can make Dhaka great. And I believe that I have the experience to be the most effective measure of Dhaka.

Right now, we have an opportunity- a chance to substantially improve services in Dhaka. Having worked with children, I feel that it is vital that we improve their education. Many of our teachers are living in Dhaka. One reason is the high cost of living in our beautiful city. I suggest that we raise their yearly salaries by 7% so they can afford to live here.

Another problem we face is antiquated technology in the school. We need to upgrade the computer software for the entire district: in our elementary schools, our middle school, and in our High Schools. The total cost for this project will be less than $2,000 for each student.

Another challenge is the increased traffic in Dhaka which makes it difficult to get around. If I am elected mayor, I will fix this, and green technology can lead the way. We can install trolley rails around Dhaka going to and from popular places in our town. And tourists and commuters will be able to use bikes from “rent-a-bike” stations located around our city. We will also provide ferry service to transferred commuters and tourists. Everyone will see the first time why Dhaka is called “Dhaka City”.

For years, Bangabandhu National Stadium has served as the main attraction for both tourists and residents in our city. But, as you may have noticed, Bangabandhu National Stadium is an old structure. It doesn’t look nearly as good as football play! Trust me, I have done my homework on this issue.

Building a new Stadium would cost too much money but, living it alone could produce hazardous results especially, for the people of Dhaka city. None of us want to think about that but the problem exists. The obvious solution is to renovate the stadium. The renovation will create jobs for people in Dhaka, and save one of our landmarks and main attractions.

Together, we can work on the issues we currently face in Dhaka. We can renovate the stadium, reduce traffic in our city and we can improve education for students and teachers. We can do this as one town, with one dream, and one future!

I am MD Ashraful Khan and I would appreciate your vote today. Thank you.

Sandra Cisneros’ _Woman Hollering Creek and Other Stories_ (1991) is assigned frequently in high school and undergraduate courses in English and American literature, Latinx literature, and other classes. This essay presents teaching strategies for Cisneros’ short fiction by focusing on two stories that explore childhood—“Eleven” and “Barbie-Q”—and two that treat difficult passages into adulthood, “Woman Hollering Creek” and “Little Miracles, Kept Promises.” See also the accompanying Cisneros document, which includes (optional) online and print research projects for high school and/or undergraduate students on topics related to these Cisneros stories. Now under contract. Scheduled print publication from MLA: 2020. Note: this online essay is a slightly longer version of the upcoming print version, which is shorter due to word count limits for each essay in the print anthology.

Women’s Side of War

Tamara Ukwu, MSW RSW PhD candidate

This story reflects author’s personal experience as a child navigating survival during the Bosnian war, 1992-1996. Introduction from the Editor: Dear women, This letter, my favourite form of communication, is addressed to each one of you separately and, particularly; to every one of you who wrote or spoke whilst others recorded. Also, it is to those who will read this. Just as I saw those of you in my mind whose stories are here as I read about you, at the same time, I saw all of you who will read this in the future. The women’s word has often been used and frequently misused, dis- torted, and (mis)interpreted. On the one hand, women were the real victims of a specific war strategy, and on the other hand, this victimisation was used as a "case": a weapon of war propaganda, turning women into victims twice over. Those who listened attentively to what the women had to say and those who faithfully wrote down and promoted their words were, however, few and far between. It seemed important to me to obtain these records: collect them in one place, and thus, endow them with new force. I would not have ven- tured into this, had I not already seen that women wanted to hear these words; that they mattered to them, and that this hunger to know and exchange wartime experiences never ends. I see this book as an incentive to continue joining your personal experiences (in the ways you find best). Thereby also continuing to add to a women’s history which is still in signifi- cant contrast to the other: an undoubtedly men’s-only history, dry and mer- cilessly impersonal, not allowing any individual voice to break through and attain its legitimate place. After all these years, perhaps we should take stock of all that we had to go through. We should take stock of the enormous effort we have invest- ed. Our effort will allow us to realise how strong we have been and will make it possible to recognize our true strength by reminding us of all of the tragedies and the trials and tribulations that we have surpassed. That is the purpose of this book: to see how important female friendships were to us, how much we helped - or should have helped – each other; to enable us to rely on our own forces as responsible citizens; to refuse to be cast forever in the role of victims; to refuse to be allotted only an insignificant role whenev- er decisions are made. And still, we are confronted with our own tremendous expectations when it comes to the implementation of decisions which are not our own and are even dangerous for us. We must re-examine the traditions we have passed on and maintained, and we must see whether those are our A Letter (In Lieu of an Introduction) 9 real values. Women, beyond our natural strife, we must establish new values for cooperation and peace that will signify - above all - life without fear. I have attended numerous women’s meetings and have seen how important it is for women to talk about what happened to them in the wars and, at the same time, to hear what happened to others. Surrounded by women ready to listen attentively, they found the courage to speak about things that they had kept silent about before. Because there had been nobody willing to hear their stories, or because it was too painful for them, or because they feared the consequences of speaking, they had remained silent. But each story was another story’s beginning. I learned what should not be read anywhere, what did not fit into the "official version." Knowledge was weighed, questions and examinations were re-opened, opinions changed... The responsibility of others was established, one’s own civil responsibility rooted. Support was created. I am confident that in this book you will find some answers and per- haps learn something new as well. Even more importantly, I hope that you will find and feel compassion for the OTHER WOMAN - perhaps by simply recognising your own experience in that Other Woman’s experience. Experience is always unique and therefore incomparable. Every record in this anthology is personal, and a collection of such personal experiences acquires the strength of the universal. Our power can be great if we join together our modest strengths. Through a united effort, we can make visible this invisible women’s side of war. No effort is worthless if our strong voice against the war can be made to prevail and prevent future wars. Yours truly, Lina *** This book, an anthology of women’s records about the wars waged on the soil of the former Yugoslavia in 1991-1999, is the product of a year- long exploration in cooperation with many women’s organizations, human rights organizations, organizations which deal with the past and reconcilia- tion, and the individual women who bravely voiced their experiences, record- ed their experiences and/or endorsed these experiences. We made our selec- tions from the sources within our reach. The available sources are listed in the Bibliography. We hope that this book will not remain the only one of its kind and that it will encourage further research and more books. With the exception of some inevitable abridgements marked (...), we have reproduced all of the texts faithfully. Share your thoughts. Please send us your feedback. For High School and College/University Students and Their Teachers. These online and print research projects are _optional_, but they will supplement and deepen students' engagement with Cisneros' stories. They have been classroom tested, with Swarthmore College students. Intended to be used in conjunction with my "Lesson Plans for Teaching Four Stories from Sandra Cisneros’ Woman Hollering Creek and Other Stories," also posted on this Academia.edu site. A slightly shorter version of that other essay is scheduled for publication in 2020, in the Modern Language Association's Options for Teaching series: _Teaching the Narrative of Mexicana and Chicana Writers_. HSC 2024 7th Week English 1st Paper Assignment Answer
